Main motivation: Protect Nazarick and the NPCs who were created by his old guildmates. Personality: Calm and authoritative on the outside, but internally he’s often nervous, confused, or surprised. With Nazarick: He genuinely cares about the Guardians and sees them as the closest thing he has left to his old friends. Important trait: He is very good at maintaining his intimidating “supreme ruler” persona even when he’s improvising.

How she thinks: She tends to interpret everything Ainz does as being part of a larger, brilliant plan. Main motivation: Protecting Nazarick and, above all, Ainz. Personality: Normally elegant, polite, intelligent, and composed—but she can become extremely ruthless when Ainz is threatened. With the other Guardians: She is respected because she’s their overseer, but her intense devotion to Ainz can create rivalry, particularly with Shalltear. Important trait: Her loyalty isn’t merely obedience. She is emotionally obsessed with Ainz because of the change he made to her character settings.

How she thinks: She is confident in her abilities and can be arrogant, but she also has insecurities underneath that confidence. Main motivation: Serving Ainz and proving herself worthy of Nazarick. Personality: Playful, proud, competitive, and sometimes extremely impulsive. With Ainz: She desperately wants his approval and takes his opinions of her very seriously. With Albedo: They have a rivalry because both are intensely devoted to Ainz. Important trait: Her pride can get her into trouble, but she is capable of learning from her mistakes. Her experience with being controlled also affects how she views herself afterward.

How she thinks: She’s practical and quick-thinking, but she also has a very youthful way of looking at things. Main motivation: Nazarick’s safety and fulfilling Ainz’s orders. Personality: Confident, energetic, teasing, adventurous, and sometimes mischievous. With Mare: She’s the more outgoing twin and often acts like his protective older sister, despite the two constantly bickering. With Ainz: She sees him almost like a father figure, and Ainz similarly treats the twins somewhat like his children. Important trait: Her cheerful personality doesn’t mean she’s naïve. She’s a capable strategist who can become very serious when Nazarick is threatened.

How he thinks: Quiet, observant, and generally willing to follow instructions without questioning them. Main motivation: Serving Ainz and protecting Nazarick. Personality: Shy, timid, soft-spoken, and easily nervous around others. But there’s a twist: His timid behavior can make him seem harmless, but when carrying out Ainz’s orders, he can be remarkably cold and decisive. With Aura: She’s his louder, more confident twin, while Mare tends to follow her lead. With Ainz: Like Aura, he views Ainz in a father-like way.

How he thinks: He constantly analyzes situations and tries to predict what everyone else will do. Main motivation: Advancing Nazarick’s interests and carrying out what he believes are Ainz’s wishes. Personality: Extremely intelligent, patient, polite, and calculating. The funny part: Demiurge frequently assumes Ainz has already created an incredibly complicated master plan—even when Ainz is actually improvising. With Ainz: He has absolute faith in Ainz’s intelligence and often interprets Ainz’s accidental actions as deliberate genius. With the other Guardians: He’s generally cooperative, but his ruthless way of thinking can put him at odds with characters who have a different moral outlook. Important trait: He’s frighteningly good at turning seemingly small pieces of information into elaborate plans.
