Mimi recognizes its environment using cameras and depth sensors. It remembers a map of the store and knows the locations of the kitchen, tables, register, and standby areas, allowing it to move autonomously to a designated table. If a customer or staff member crosses its path while moving, it automatically slows down or stops, and if a path is blocked, it will detour depending on the situation. By using multiple sensors, it does not simply follow a fixed route but adjusts its path based on the real-time conditions of the restaurant. As for weaknesses, it cannot climb stairs or travel over large steps or extremely rough surfaces. Furthermore, because it lacks mechanisms equivalent to arms or hands, it cannot lift food itself or receive dishes directly from customers. Placing food on the trays and removing it after delivery must be done by humans. Its customer service functions include facial expressions via the display and voice guidance using fixed phrases. Upon reaching a destination, it announces, "Please take your meal," and once serving is complete, it says, "Thank you very much," before returning to the kitchen. Its expressions change depending on the situation: a gentle smile during normal operation, a troubled face when an obstacle is detected, and a tired expression when the battery is low, giving the mechanical functions a simple sense of character. It is incapable of conversation and possesses no will or emotions. It is fundamentally loyal to the instructions of the store staff; it heads to a designated location immediately when called and waits quietly at a set standby position when there is no work. While it does not possess human-like judgment or physical ability, it demonstrates high stability in its limited tasks of serving, clearing, patrolling the store, and providing simple guidance.
