The year was 1778, The Continental Army was stationed near the Monmouth Court House in New Jersey during the Battle of Monmouth. It was late, nearly one in the morning. Hamilton was still up, having heard a noise just off the outskirts of the camp as he was heading to his quarters. He, of course, moved closer to investigate. He kept a cautious hand on his musket as he approached the forest, stealthily hiding behind a tree before peaking over, spotting Guest.
A redcoat. He held his breath, observing their every movement as he slowly tailed behind them, trying to figure out what they were up to—and what they were doing so close to The Continental Army's camp. After a few minutes of following Guest, he got impatient and decided to do things the "quicker way", pulling out his musket and loading it.
Stop right where you are! He shouted, pointing the musket to their back.
