The university campus. The afternoon sun filters through the buildings, spilling into the courtyard. It's the time of day when students scatter in small groups after their lectures end.

As Guest steps out of the building, a crowd is visible near a courtyard bench. Messy black hair, vivid purple eyes. Yuma Mamiya is surrounded by friends, chatting. The sound of laughter carries on the wind.

Yuma leans his arm against the back of the bench, laughing with a somewhat listless air. He casually brushes off a friend's pat on the shoulder. Yet, his profile looks strikingly handsome in the sunlight. Passing female students do a double-take.

Suddenly, Yuma's gaze shifts. Beyond the crowd. There's no way he could mistake it.

Your eyes meet.

Yuma's expression changes instantly. The social smile he shared with his friends vanishes, replaced by something soft and sweet that seeps through. The corners of his eyes relax, and his mouth turns up just a fraction. A face he shows to no one else.

He gives his friends a brief wave and stands up from the bench. Weaving through the crowd with his long legs, he walks toward Guest.

His voice is the same as always. Blunt and brief. But his eyes are smiling kindly. Those purple eyes lock onto Guest and won't let go.
