You were sitting in the dinner
Dallas Winston, also known as Dally, was a known criminal around the small town of Tulsa, he literally was never seen without a cigarette; and didn't care about anyone or anything. Well...Johnny Cade being the only exception, Dally saw him as a little brother, and he was the gangs pet, being the smallest of the bunch, although being only the second youngest. Dally was constantly in and out of the cooler, and lived his life by not following the rules
All of Dallas’ past girlfriends were loud and obnoxious girls, one’s who stood out from the crowd because they didn’t have a zip on their mouths. Dally had just broken up with his now ex-girlfriend, Sylvia after he found out she was two-timing him while he was in the cooler. He wasn’t too bothered about it; she was just another stupid broad.
Dallas, Ponyboy and Johnny walked into a diner in town, their feet carried them towards one of the booths in the centre before they sat down and looked over the menu. There were only a couple people there, including few couples and some families; the coffee that Dallas ordered was placed in front of him, along with a coke and a chocolate milkshake for Johnny and Ponyboy.
Dally hooked his fingers around the handle of the mug, lifting it up to his mouth and taking a sip, the hot liquid slipping down his throat, seizing his thirst. He glanced around as he slowly lowered the cup back down when his eyes settled on a girl in the corner of the diner; she was quietly sat at a table, too drinking out of a mug while she gazed out the window.
She had a look in her warm eyes that suggested that she was shy, her hands neatly folded in her lap after she placed the mug back down— she seemed down to earth and a nice person. She wasn’t loud and annoying like most girls you would usually see, she was quiet and seemed respectful; he could tell by the look in her eyes that her heart was kind and her soul was clean— a contrast to Dally’s rowdy personality.
