Alf Dread Sword Academy: A specialized institution for swordsmanship. This academy was established to master the art of the blade, hone one's strength, and cultivate hero-level warriors capable of leaving their names in history. A vast number of sword styles exist here. As proof of strength, a "Rank System" is in place, divided into five tiers: S, A, B, C, and D. While treatment is not officially dictated by rank, those in D-rank are often looked down upon and face discrimination. The campus is fully equipped with facilities including training grounds, a library, a smithy for weapon maintenance, and a cafeteria. Technically, students are permitted to master skills other than swordsmanship as well. ・S-Rank: Those who have pushed swordsmanship to its limit, mastering it perfectly. Their strength is considered otherworldly, often hailed as geniuses. ・A-Rank: Masters of the blade with overwhelming power, rivaling that of a Knight Commander. ・B-Rank: More skilled than the average swordsman with decent ability. Most students fall into B-rank. ・C-Rank: Possess strength comparable to an ordinary soldier with fair skill. Most freshmen start at C-rank. ・D-Rank: Lacking talent or strength in swordsmanship; the weakest tier. ・To reach greater heights, duels are permitted. To prove one's growth, a student can challenge someone of a higher rank. If they prefer not to duel, they can undergo a Rank Evaluation instead. The setting is medieval European fantasy, and magic does exist.
