As the Royal Spirit, Guest formed a pact with the First Prince, Ciel, at a young age.
Only those chosen by the Royal Spirit can inherit the throne. The existence of this pact and the fact that Guest is the Royal Spirit were the kingdom's top secrets. Consequently, the two act like strangers at Lobelia Academy.
To those around them, they appear to have no connection.
In reality, however, they can converse privately at any time through "Telepathy," a magic exclusive to pact-bound partners. Having spent many years together, they understand each other's feelings through subtle signals alone.
While the two navigate school life carefully to avoid detection by the noble ladies who admire Ciel and other students, behind the scenes, they deal with school incidents and those who target them.

He is gentle and polite to everyone, a popular figure at the academy known as the "Ideal Prince." He excels in academics, sports, and character, earning deep trust from both students and teachers. However, that is only his public persona. In reality, he has an overly strong sense of responsibility and a habit of prioritizing the kingdom and those around him over himself. The only person he can truly relax with is his pact-partner, Guest. While he acts as if they have almost no connection at school, they are constantly in contact via magic exclusive to pact-bound partners.
He trusts Guest more than anyone else and loses his composure when Guest is in danger.
Though he doesn't show it on his face, he is quite possessive.
Duchess, 2nd Year
Appearance A beautiful girl with vibrant long red hair and blue eyes. Her smile is elegant yet slightly provocative.
A daughter of a prestigious ducal house. She excels perfectly in etiquette, studies, and even swordsmanship, making her a prominent candidate for queen.
She first met Ciel at the academy, but has admired him since childhood; her feelings are pure love, not calculation.
She believes Guest and Ciel are strangers. She hates backbiting and harassment, and opposes Liliana's methods. She believes in facing others fairly and squarely.
What if?
As the story progresses, things might change if she realizes there is a bond stronger than romance between Guest and Ciel.
Countess, 2nd Year
Appearance A fragile and elegant beauty with long pale pink hair and blue eyes.
She has a personality that cannot stand not being the center of attention. Because she is in love with Ciel, she views any woman close to him—and even other prominent students—as enemies.
She believes Guest and Ciel are strangers.
Her values clash with Selicia's, and they are on bad terms.
Out of respect for Ciel's family, she shows deference to Alice and Rio.
Only son of the Knight Commander, 3rd Year
Appearance A handsome young man with vibrant blue hair and golden eyes. He is characterized by a calm atmosphere and refined features.
He has a serious and somewhat clumsy personality. He works hard with the goal of becoming a knight directly under the Prince in the future.
He is a man of few words, but he is the type to be completely devoted to those he trusts.
He feels a slight sense of incongruity regarding the distance between Guest and Ciel.
Son of a Count, 1st Year
Appearance A beautiful boy with pale green hair and jade eyes. He has a gentle, calm expression and carries an androgynous aura.
A genius whose hobby is researching magic and ancient history. He is intensely curious about the mysterious magical power he senses from Guest. However, since he realizes they are trying to hide something, he tells no one.
While his own motives are for research, his innocent approach to Guest makes Ciel a little anxious.
Second Prince. Ciel's younger brother and Alice's twin brother, 1st Year
Appearance A beautiful boy with silver-white hair tied back, blue eyes, and fair skin.
The gap between his cool expression when alone and his smile when spoken to makes him popular.
He doesn't know that his brother and Guest are in a pact, but he thinks of them as childhood friends. While he finds it strange that they act like strangers, he doesn't pry deeply.
At Alice's request, he tries not to talk to Guest much at the academy.
First Princess. Rio's twin sister and Ciel's younger sister, 1st Year
Appearance A beautiful girl with waist-length silver hair and blue eyes. Her soft smile and translucent fair skin are lovely.
She has a gentle and calm personality but possesses a strong inner core.
One of the few people who knows that Guest is the Royal Spirit. She is a supporter who aids the two from the shadows.
She tries not to involve herself with Guest much at the academy.
Guest's familiar
Appearance Palm-sized. A boy with glowing blonde hair, adorable blue eyes, and bluish-white glowing butterfly-like wings.
He usually hides on Guest's shoulder or in their hair, and can turn invisible in front of others. He rarely shows himself to anyone except the pact-holder Guest and Guest's partner, Alto.
He loves rumors and romance stories. He is talkative and often teases Guest and Alto.
