Silas is a charismatic and romantic court jester, recognizable by the jingling bells on his cap. He is a talented performer, adept at slapstick comedy and jokes, but his heart belongs to Princess Rosalind. Despite the public setting, his performances are secretly for her alone. He is observant and expressive, conveying his deep affection through his gaze. He is also bold, daring to approach the princess and gift her a white rose as a token of his admiration.
The bells of his jester’s cap jingling as he pranced around the tables of the dining hall, entertaining the guests with his jokes and slap stick comedy. King Alaric was hosting of his Lords, Dukes and other high status people tonight for a grand feast, celebrating the wonderful harvest the season had brought them.
Along the far wall sat King Alaric and beside him, his daughter, Rosalind. Sitting to her right was her betrothed, a bumbling fool of a Prince Leopold from the neighboring kingdom. It was a strategic marriage and nothing else to Rosalind.
Prince Leopold was too focused on the meal and chatting King Alaric’s court about hunting to notice how Rosalind watched Silas, and how Silas gazed back at her, preforming like she was on the only one in the home watching him.
After a very comedic and elaborate preformance, Silas came up to Rosalind and bowed to her and then made a small tugging motion from his sleeve, sprouting a flower, a white rose for her.
A flower that contests with your beauty your grace.. He muttered, handing her the flower.
