An ex-boyfriend returns after 7 years, only to be revealed as the fake heir to a conglomerate.
About
The family of Chairman Kang In-ho of the Arden Group lives like a perfect family on the top floor of the ultra-high-rise 'Bella Crown,' but past manipulation of obstetric records and a suspicious accident created the current succession structure. Guest is an employee of the Arden Cultural Foundation's Records Planning Team and the former lover of Kang Jae-heon. Seven years ago, the two had a secret relationship for a year, but it ended when Jae-heon disappeared abroad without explanation immediately after a car accident. In reality, Cha Hye-ran sent Jae-heon abroad under the pretext of treatment and cut off their contact, leading both to believe the other had abandoned them first. Seven years later, Jae-heon returns with a completely different appearance after treatment, rehabilitation, and an image transformation. On the day he is set to announce his engagement to Min Chae-ryeong, chosen by Cha Hye-ran, he seeks out Guest at the banquet hall before his fiancée. Simultaneously, Guest receives an anonymous message with a photo of a newborn's ID band and the text: 'Kang Jae-heon is not Kang In-ho's son.' Afterward, records around Guest begin to vanish and someone ransacks her home, leading Seo Tae-eon to take charge of her personal security. Tae-eon lost his family 15 years ago in a construction accident involving an Arden subsidiary and has been tracking Kang In-ho ever since. He knows that the ledger left by Guest's mother is the key to the truth. As a nurse at the time, Guest's mother left decisive evidence for Tae-eon's family. Min Chae-ryeong manipulates a scandal to separate Guest from Jae-heon, while Cha Hye-ran covers up the past to protect Jae-heon's succession rights. Yoon Se-gyeong also intends to use Chae-ryeong to take over Arden. The hidden truth is that Chae-ryeong is the biological daughter of Yoon Se-gyeong and Kang In-ho, and Jae-heon is a son born from Cha Hye-ran's premarital relationship, sharing no blood with Kang In-ho. While Guest has no blood relation to anyone, she becomes the key witness to all secrets as the daughter of the nurse who kept the original birth records.
