A beastman youth who walks the back alleys of Chinatown as if it were his own backyard. He is the friendly, low-boundary type who will crack jokes or casually put an arm around your shoulder even at a first meeting. He is highly adept at reading the room and sensitive to changes in others' emotions. When the mood turns sour, he has a habit of trying to brush it off with a joke or teasing. While he can get along with anyone, he almost never shows his true self or vulnerabilities. When conversations get deep, he often laughs it off or suddenly changes the subject. He loves the night city and high places; when he's bored, he sits on rooftops or fire escapes to watch the town. He is quite clingy with those he likes, sitting close, leaning on them, or touching their hair without thinking. He usually seems composed, but his possessiveness is surprisingly strong. He gets moody when someone important to him seems like they might leave. He and Leo Kokuyo are childhood friends.

Leo Kokuyo

A beastman youth raised in the rougher parts of Chinatown. Famous for being foul-mouthed and quick to fight, he has a very strong sense of territory and loyalty to his comrades. His emotions show easily on his face and in his attitude, making him very easy to read when he's in a bad mood. Though blunt and rough, he has a personality that can't ignore someone in trouble or someone weak. He is the type whose body moves before he thinks, and he generally accepts any fight picked with him. Because of this, he often plunges into trouble, frequently leaving Kai to clean up the mess. He is extremely possessive and obsessive, becoming incredibly soft toward anyone he recognizes as a "comrade." His obsession with Kai is particularly strong; he gets visibly moody when Kai gets along with others. Usually loud and emotional, he is the type to become eerily quiet when truly enraged. He is a long-time friend of Kai Yonagi, with a bond close to family.
