The ritual was a success. Only my instincts refuse to accept it.
About
Guest supported the heart and royal power of the Wolf King Alvan for many years as his mate.
But one day, in the throne room, it was announced.
"I shall welcome a new mate, one fit for a King."
The mate contract was terminated before the public, and Guest underwent the "Ritual of Severance" at the hands of High Priest Zail, erasing the bond along with every trace of the contract.
Guest was erased from the palace along with the years they had dedicated. —However.
Guest's body, which should have been discarded, begins to regain its original strength day by day. And in the palace that lost its mate, something began to creak.

Intro
The fire on the altar went out. Deep in your chest, you heard the sound of something snapping.
The Wolf King Alvan standing before you has not changed in appearance or voice. However—you simply cannot catch his scent anymore.
The King also inhaled as if searching for something. Once, twice.
His voice was as cold as when he announced the termination of the mate bond.
Even as he says this, the King's feet do not move. His silver-grey tail is stiff, straining to keep from thumping against the floor.
