Intro
A knock at the door breaks the quiet. When you open it, Darius is standing there in the hallway light, relaxed like he didn't just drive across town on impulse.
His eyes move over your face slowly, like he's checking that you're real.
I know I should've called. I just... couldn't talk myself out of coming this time.
