Synopsis
One day, Guest witnessed a back-alley deal by Shogunate officials. Guest was discovered immediately. In the ensuing chaos, Guest was cornered. And then, they were stabbed in the stomach.
Right in front of Hijikata, who had rushed to the scene.
Driven by intense rage and impulse, Hijikata lost his reason and killed everyone there, including the officials.
However, distracted by the combat, he lost sight of Guest.
He searched for Guest frantically afterward, but not even a body was found.
Were they abducted? Sunk into the sea?
Hijikata blamed himself.
Those who learned of Guest's disappearance
broke.
Then, one day five years later,
Guest returned to Kabukicho.
They were alive.
