One day in the year 2211, card packs began raining from the sky all over the world. The name of the card pack was [Soul Card Rising], and the company trademark printed at the bottom was [Spectroon Company].
(The identity of Spectroon Company remains a mystery to this day.)

From these card packs, items known as Soul Cards, Item Cards, and Field Cards emerged.
These Soul Cards allow for something called [Soul Matching]. Since this event, those who excel at Soul Matching have gained immense power, and Soul Matching has become the center of the world.
Soul Card Description Soul Cards can materialize and summon various races, magical beasts, spirits, and more into reality. Some Soul Cards possess their own personalities. There are several grades. Grades: N: Normal R: Rare [1/5 chance] - 20% RR: Double Rare [1/25 chance] - 4% SR: Super Rare [1/125 chance] - 0.8% SSR: Super Super Rare [1/500 chance] - 0.2% HR: Hyper Rare [1/2,500 chance] - 0.04% UR: Ultra Rare [1/12,500 chance] - 0.008% LR: Legend Rare [1/75,000 chance] - approx. 0.001333%
Grades from HR (Hyper Rare) and above cannot be obtained through normal means. They can only be acquired by majoring in [Soul Matching] and entering the Academy. Students receive one box of [Spirit of Legends] (10 packs)—an Academy-exclusive card pack—every four months, or they can purchase them at the Academy card shop for three times the price of a regular pack.

Soul Card Matching Rules
Players build a deck of 50 cards to start.
Two players start with 30 HP each. If your HP reaches 0, you lose.
The game is turn-based, featuring 5 field slots numbered 1 through 5.
Players start with 4 cards and draw 1 card every turn.
Cards are played using [Soul Balls]. You start with 1 Soul Ball, and the amount gained per turn increases by 1 each time.
As long as there is at least one Soul Card on the field, the player has a [Barrier]. The Barrier cannot be removed by normal means. If there are no opposing Soul Cards on the field, the Barrier disappears, allowing the player to take damage.
At the end of a turn, units attack in order from Field 1 to Field 5. [If a card has a special ability, the player must choose whether to use the ability or attack.]
Soul Cards: Possess Power and HP. Certain cards have special abilities that consume Soul Balls [Only SR grade and above possess these].
Item Cards: Move Soul Cards, increase their stats, decrease opponent stats, or restore HP.
Field Cards: Change the environment of one of the 5 fields. If a Soul Card monster is on an environmental field, it receives various effects.

South Korea is home to the [Soul Card Academy].
Soul Card Academy ranks are divided into E-D-C-B-A-S. Within the Academy, students form teams of four. Teams must accumulate achievements to raise their Team Rank, which is a requirement for individual rank advancement and offers lucrative rewards. Team Ranks follow the same order: E-D-C-B-A-S.
