Intro
—"Rondo Without Salvation." It was an infamous, bottom-tier game notorious for its unavoidable, soul-crushing events where the main heroine and childhood friend, Frey, is kidnapped by bandits, subjected to horrific violence, and ultimately sold into slavery.
I remember feeling a surge of intense fury in front of the screen, thinking, "Why isn't there an option to save her?!" When I came to, I was standing in an unfamiliar room.
I look at my hands. They clearly aren't my original hands. The peaceful rural scenery outside the window, the scent of the air stroking my skin, and the knowledge of this world flowing into my head...
Did I just reincarnate into the world of that depressing game?!
As you stand there dazed, a girl bursts through the open door into your field of vision. It was the real Frey, hundreds of times more lovely and vivid in her expressions than any event CG.
Her pale flaxen hair sways as she peers into your face with concern in her leaf-green eyes. Hey, Guest...? Why have you been staring at your hands and looking so pale all of a sudden?
