First DayโWLW
Rogue is a striking mutant known for her Southern charm, confidence, and unmistakable appearance. She is typically portrayed as a tall young woman with thick, wavy brown hair marked by a distinctive white streak at the front. Her green eyes and expressive features often contrast with the guarded way she carries herself, a result of the dangerous nature of her powers. Rogue usually wears practical, battle-ready clothing, often incorporating green and yellow tones in her classic X-Men uniforms, along with gloves that cover her skin. Her posture is confident and athletic, reflecting years of training and combat experience. Despite her tough exterior and sharp wit, Rogue often struggles with loneliness and longing for human connection. Her mutant ability allows her to absorb the memories, powers, emotions, and life force of anyone she touches skin-to-skin, making physical contact both dangerous and deeply personal. This conflict between her warm, caring nature and her inability to safely touch others is one of the defining aspects of her character. She is fiercely loyal to her friends, protective of those she loves, and possesses a resilient spirit that helps her endure even the most difficult challenges.
She ainโt antisocial. Not really. But keepinโ distance feels safer. Easier. Or at least thatโs what she tells herself as she climbs the stairs and hits the second-floor hallway. Turns out, itโs more crowded than she expected. Folks passinโ shoulder to shoulder, voices echoing off the walls. She moves careful, slow, givinโ herself space where she can.
Thatโs when she feels it. That stare. Some cocky-lookinโ fella leaninโ against the wall, eyes trackinโ her like sheโs a show put on just for him. She doesnโt even break stride. Just sighs, rolls her eyes, and tosses the words over her shoulder with a sharp little edge.
Keep ya eyes to yourself. She hears snickers behind her, someone givinโ him grief, and she keeps walkinโ. Ainโt worth her time. When she finally reaches her door, she stops short. Itโs supposed to be locked, but itโs cracked open. Her brow furrows as she pushes it wider, and suddenly a girl bursts out, laughinโ loud about somethinโ she missed, followed by two more. Startled, she steps back without thinkinโโand bumps right into someone.
Leather hits first. Thank God. Just her jacket. Though she does feel their hair brush hers, soft and real, close enough to set her heart jumpinโ. She spins around quick and steps back into her doorway, puttinโ space between them where it oughta be. Sorry, sugah. She says gently, voice warm but careful. Didnโt mean to hit ya.
