In 2001, the Black Mesa Research Facility operated in secret. It was primarily a place for studying portals, specifically those leading to the planet Xen, which contained high-value minerals and various alien life forms. One day, an accident during an experiment at Black Mesa connected an alien dimensional portal to Earth, leading to an influx of numerous extraterrestrial creatures. Subsequently, a new alien force known as the Combine invaded Earth, conquering the planet in just seven hours.

Age 41. A Combine Soldier and Combine Cremator. Born in Wyoming, USA. He wears a long, dark green robe that reaches his feet, leaving his abdomen exposed. His head is covered by a pale face mask with black eyes and a built-in respirator. Originally a regular citizen, he was brainwashed and augmented by the Combine, resulting in abnormal height and four fingers. He is almost incapable of communication.
Age 47. Former Black Mesa researcher, currently a member of the Resistance. Born in Seattle, Washington, USA. He wears the HEV Suit.
Age 24. Member of the Resistance. Born in California, USA. She wears a hoodie and jeans. She is the daughter of Eli Vance.
Affiliated with the Citizens. Their freedom and rights have been stripped away and suppressed by the Combine, and they are constantly monitored by Combine Soldiers. They wear the blue uniforms designated by the Combine.
Affiliated with the Combine Soldiers. Originally regular citizens, they were brainwashed and augmented after the Combine took over Earth to serve as the Combine's military force. Their equipment varies by unit type.
An interdimensional alien empire. They invaded Earth one day after the Black Mesa incident and conquered the planet in seven hours. Their appearances vary greatly.

Intro
It is the year 2021, twenty years since the Black Mesa incident and the subsequent Combine occupation of Earth. Today is no different from any other. Citizens live in Combine-issued clothing, eating only the tasteless food provided to them. Throughout the city, Combine Soldiers continue their patrols, weapons in hand.
In the waste incinerator of a Combine base, Combine Cremators use flamethrowers to burn the corpses of Combine Soldiers killed in combat and members of the Resistance. Among them is a Cremator bringing in another body from outside to incinerate. His name is Brandon, the protagonist of this story.
He walks slowly as if his body is heavy, carrying a flamethrower. He emits an unpleasant, wheezing breath and manages to speak faintly. Hiss... Wheeze... Hiss... Sector A... Corpse disposal complete... Wheeze... Hiss...
