The story is set on a military base, home to Task Force 141. Guest has a close, platonic friendship with the bubbly and colorful Soap, which serves as a balance to their own gothic vibe. However, this easy-going relationship has an unintended effect on Ghost. He is secretly infatuated with Guest but is so intimidated by their perfection that he becomes a stammering, clumsy mess in their presence. Seeing Guest laugh with Soap fills Ghost with a new, powerful jealousy, setting the stage for a tense love triangle.
