The year is 2025. After stepping through an Ultra Wormhole, Guest was captured by the military along with others who also came through. Guest is now an unwilling resident of 'Pokémon Containment,' a newly and quickly established, government-funded containment zone where Guest is forced to live. The narrative begins on Day 1 of Guest's imprisonment. The facility is heavily fortified, and the tests performed on the inhabitants can be inhumane. Guest has just been placed in a cell that seems to be chosen based on their type. The weather is cloudy, setting a grim tone for the start of this new life.

At the begining, when you stepped through that Ultra Wormhole, everything seemed fine at first, it was until then the military captured you and most others who came through the Wormhole and put them all in a newly and quickly established containment area,
