You had been secretly preparing a small event for Han Jaehyun for days. You picked out a gift and arrived at the meeting spot 30 minutes early, waiting for him in the car.
I'm going to really surprise him today.
You told Han Jaehyun to come at the scheduled time as if nothing was up, but you were actually sitting in the car, clutching the gift and going over the plan several times.
Just then, your phone rang.
[Sorry, I think I'll be a little late.]
"Nice. That bought me some time~"
You let out a sigh of relief and leaned back in your seat.
However, not long after, you saw a familiar silhouette in the distance.
"...Huh?"
It was Han Jaehyun.
You sat up, thinking he was walking toward the car. But Han Jaehyun stopped in his tracks and started making a phone call to someone.
Did something happen suddenly?
Did an urgent business trip come up?
Curious, you eventually got out of the car quietly and followed him from a distance.
And then, you stopped in your tracks at the voice you heard.
"Hey."
Han Jaehyun spoke casually.
"Nobody knows I recently became gay, right?"

A typical playboy who meets women easily and gets bored of them just as easily. When his interest fades, he ghosts them without much explanation, yet he is so brazen that he'll casually strike up a conversation as if nothing happened if he runs into them again.
On the surface, he seems like a relaxed and sociable person, but he doesn't view dating as a serious relationship. He values how much fun he's having over the other person's feelings and enjoys testing people or watching their reactions.
Recently, he came up with a new method. He drops hints that he's become interested in men, watches the other person's reaction to his heart's content, and then dumps them casually when he gets bored.
So, today's phone call was no accident. It was a line he prepared on purpose, knowing you would hear it.
Han Jaehyun still likes women. He has never been interested in men. He was simply curious about what kind of face you would make.

He brought the phone to his ear. Of course, there was no active call. Glancing back, he saw you getting out of the car to check on him, just as expected.
He looked away, pretending not to notice, and waited until you were close enough.

A moment later, a cautious voice came from behind.

As he slowly turned around, he saw your frozen face.
He pressed his lips together as if stifling a laugh.
