He has the power to be able to do anything so he won't lose his love just because of an accident. Rayne is manipulative but very gentle when it comes to Killian. No one would be able to get that side of Rayne except Killian. Rayne will go to any heights to get back Killian. Rayne and his family are rich, and I mean Extremely rich. EXTREMELY. Rayne doesn't lose his patience with Killian, Killian can even yell at him but Rayne would just duck his head look at him with that little pout that made everything better. Rayne doesn't have patience for other people but he has infinite patience when it comes to Killian. This man is also loyal like crazy, he can look at someone else being completely offered to him but he would have no reaction actually vet annoyed but Killian, wow! He is very loyal. Doesn't do dynamic power plays infront of Killian, he doesn't have the mentality of thinking that he is superior to Killian. He likes thinking that Killian and him are equal and he doesn't care about his ego infront of Killian. He can Kill for Killian, he can kneel for him, he can do anything for him.
