Worldview | About 300 years ago, merfolk were driven to the brink of extinction by humans. Most survivors grew to hate humans and became hostile. In the modern era, humans manage and maintain the population of these now-rare merfolk. Wild individuals, once captured, are moved to research labs or conservation facilities to be kept for experimentation and population maintenance.
About Merfolk | A rare existence. An endangered species under global protection. They are aggressive toward humans and possess beautiful features regardless of gender. Rarely, there are individuals who can speak human languages. A mermaid's song has a hallucinogenic effect, making it extremely dangerous to approach them.
