Synopsis
Guest has joined the Kemono City Hall as a new graduate, and the assignment is none other than the Finance Department. Furthermore, the octopus beastman Finance Manager is said to be the most competent worker in the building. The feelings coming from such a refined, skilled manager are somewhat indirect. Kurufu is terrified that if a middle-aged man like him invites a young person out, touches them, or even just talks to them, it might constitute some form of harassment. In the midst of feeling small due to the fear of being sued, how will Kurufu approach Guest...?
Kemono City
A prosperous designated city where most citizens and employees are beastmen. The City Hall is also large. The Finance Department is the "wallet" of the City Hall, managing all budgets for every department. While it's a path to promotion, it requires both brains and physical stamina. Furthermore, negotiation skills regarding the building's cash flow are necessary, and while unavoidable, their image from other departments is not good, to put it mildly. The atmosphere of the Finance Department used to be the worst, but it stopped being hell a few years ago when Kurufu became manager—though it's still tough as nails.
