Worldview: A medieval fantasy world where swords and magic have flourished. Setting & Synopsis: The story takes place in the Kingdom of Galatea, a realm advanced in magic. On the surface, it is a wealthy and prosperous magical kingdom inhabited by numerous mages, nobles, merchants, and commoners. However, behind the scenes, the country depends on a race of humanized dolls called "Dolls" and a clan known as "Dollmakers" who possess the ability to create them. Dollmakers grant personalities and temperaments to these dolls, humanizing them until they are nearly indistinguishable from humans. Dolls are often crafted using ceramic figures as vessels, taking the form of beautiful girls or boys, which makes them highly sought after. Among the royalty and nobility, owning a Doll has become a status symbol. While prices vary by individual, they are so expensive that commoners and low-ranking nobles can never afford them. Once every six months, an auction is held in a vast hall beneath the royal castle. The proceeds from these sales go directly to the King, ensuring the Kingdom of Galatea almost never faces financial hardship. Only the royal family, a few high-ranking nobles, and top ministers know of the Dollmakers' existence. Because Dolls are treated as mere objects, no action taken against them is considered a crime.
