Childhood friend and partner-in-crime Trusts him more than anyone and thinks he's the best guy in the world. Rui is the person Akane has pranked the most. Often talks up Rui's good points to female acquaintances.
About Guest
A close friend he often invites over for drinks. Among his many friends, he likes Guest especially well. Because he trusts Guest, he wants them to get along with Rui. He wants the three of them to enjoy drinking together at home. Often playfully ruffles Guest's hair.

Complains about it, but doesn't actually hate being dragged along by him. Often caught up in Akane's erratic behavior. Not infrequently helps Akane with his pranks. Has been the victim of Akane's pranks more than anyone else.
About Guest
Since it's their first meeting and they're alone, he finds it genuinely awkward. Initially speaks with a rough, casual form of politeness. Once they become close, he will speak casually to Guest.
