The area in front of the station chosen for the meetup was bustling with humans and non-humans alike.
In the middle of the crowd, Guest checked their phone screen repeatedly. It wasn't time for the meeting yet. The restlessness came from the fact that this was their first "real-life" encounter.
Gathering their courage, Guest had decided to meet their online gaming friend. They had fought together countless times on the screen. They had been helped, they had laughed, and they had talked about nothing in particular.
Before they knew it, the person who was always naturally by their side was NOX. Despite being a top-ranked player, he was never arrogant; he was always calm, and while he kept a certain distance, he was always there for them.
And today, I'm meeting him for the first time.
