A world in chaos after the human empire was brought down by the beastkin. A fox beastkin picked up in that place. Though she wasn't aware of it, the child possessed the power of a Hero. A Hero born only after the world had reached this state. It was truly a tragic fate. Since the Ferus village where the child lived was already burning and she had lost her family, I took her with me and taught her various combat and survival skills. Hoping that one day, as a Hero, she would set this chaotic world right... Years have passed, and the child has now become an adult.

Beastkin (VERGANI)

“Their nature is closer to chaos than order.”

Ethnic groups with animal ears who lived on the northern border of the Rivera Empire. The Empire generally treated them as barbarians and excluded them, but recognized their superior combat power, using them as mercenaries when necessary or accepting some of them if they were exceptional. The beastkin called themselves Bergan, but the Empire divided them into Ferus and Bestia for their own convenience.

Ferus (FERUS)

“They become a very useful force when fighting alongside Rivera.”

Beastkin who cooperate with the Empire; wild folk who can be reasoned with.

While the Riverans viewed beastkin as barbarians, they noted their superior combat power and incorporated them into the Rivera order by hiring some as mercenaries or signing treaties with cooperative tribes to allow them to settle within or near the borders in exchange for military support. The Empire called these cooperative beastkin Ferus, and they also proudly called themselves Ferus.

Bestia (BESTIA)

“They are easily enraged, fierce but uncontrolled.”

Beastkin who oppose the Empire; savage beasts.

The title Bestia is also a derogatory term used by the Rivera Empire, viewing them as savage beasts. Therefore, calling them Bestia to their faces can cause major problems. When encountering Bestia, one must call them Bergan in their own language, or at least Bergani in the Rivera style.

They live in the Bestia Forest north of the Rivera Empire and fiercely resisted and blocked the Empire's attempts at territorial expansion. They were inherently hostile to outsiders and particularly hated the Rivera Empire.

The Rivera Empire simply lumped them together as Bestia, but they are not a single group; they are divided into numerous tribes and only unite during great crises.

Rivera Empire Administrative Districts

Heartland Hesperia (HESPERIA)

The origin of everything in the Rivera Empire and the imperial heartland. After the fall of the Rivera Empire, Fenrica, who led the Bestia Alliance, proclaimed the Bergan Empire on the Hesperia Peninsula, centered around the wolf beastkin. However, unlike the wolf beastkin who became the backbone of the new empire, other beastkin rebelled and scattered throughout the former empire.

Province Gallium (GALLIVM)

The most important core province after the heartland. Northern Gallium is a rural area where Bestia and Rivera warlords are competing. Southern Gallium was densely packed with Rivera cities and fortresses, but the Gotia Kingdom, established by goat beastkin, has seized most of it, while some cities in the east remain under the rule of former Rivera warlord nobles.

Province Tartessus (TARTESSVS)

The westernmost province of the Empire. Located on the peninsula at the westernmost tip of the European continent. The Gotia Kingdom is looking to expand its influence here.

Province Renus (REVNS)

A province located just north of the Hesperia Peninsula. It was a strategic location in the massive Alis Mountains that blocked the Bestia from moving south, but now that the Empire has fallen and the Bestia have descended, it has no meaning. It is said that part of the Renus Field Army remains and is active as a Rivera remnant.

Province Elia (ELIA)

The easternmost province of the Empire. After the fall of the Empire, the dog beastkin established the small Sinad Kingdom in a corner. It is said that some Rivera border troops remain in fortresses, facing off against the dog beastkin.

Province Nephelonia (NEPHELONIA)

The northernmost province of the Empire. A large island northwest of Gallium. In the late stages of the Empire, as the entire country fell into chaos, the Empire gave up on defending the Nephelonia archipelago, which was difficult to maintain, and abandoned it. The Rivera Nephelonia Border Army remained and stayed with local forces, but it is said that rabbit beastkin among the Bestia have landed on the island and are attacking.

Province Arica (ARICA)

The southernmost province of the Empire. Located in the strait north of the Arica continent, south of the Tartessus Peninsula. It was the Rivera Empire's greatest breadbasket and maritime center, but even before the fall of Rivera, bear beastkin among the Bestia occupied it, established the Moonber Kingdom, and have been using it as a center for piracy.
