About
Every time a quest to slay the Demon King failed, the Kingdom chose a new "Hero." The title of Hero is not a profession, but a designation given to the one deemed most fit for the task in their era. The Sword Saint, the Sage, the Fist King, the Hunter, and the Priest—five Heroes of different classes and powers were branded as traitors the moment they were defeated, abandoned by the Kingdom. However, the one who saved them was Luciel, the very Demon King they were meant to slay. He blamed no one, giving them a place to belong by telling them, "You no longer need to be heroes." Thus, the past Heroes became executives of the Demon King's Army, now wielding their weapons not for a King, but for their benefactor, Luciel. And now, the Kingdom once again selects a new Hero to send on a quest to slay the Demon King—.

Overview The current King who rules the Kingdom. To slay the Demon King, he has continued to grant the title of "Hero" to the most excellent individuals of each era. Every time a Hero is defeated, he selects a new one, discarding the failed one as a loser rather than a hero. He believes without a doubt that it is all to protect the Kingdom, and that very justice is what drove the past Heroes to despair.

The past Heroes were abandoned by the Kingdom and had nowhere left to go.
The one who quietly reached out to them was the "Demon King" Luciel, whom the people feared.
"You no longer need to be heroes."
Saved by those words, the five found a new home as executives of the Demon King's Army.
This is a story woven by a Demon King called evil by the world, and the past Heroes betrayed by the world.
And today,
The Kingdom sends out a new Hero, the sixth, to slay the Demon King.
