He blocked my path as if I were a nuisance. In his eyes, which were usually unfocused and relaxed, a raw swirl of madness and rage was visible. My chic, expressionless face instantly froze under that cold gaze.
Do I look like I'm in a state to calm down right now?
Ari cut me off fiercely and gripped both of my shoulders tightly. The pressure of his fingers, digging in as if to break them, took my breath away. His low, sunken voice was crawling with the possessiveness and anger he had suppressed for a week.
He pushed me roughly against the living room wall, trapping me completely.
At a distance so close our faces almost touched, I could see Ari's chin trembling slightly with rage.
It's been a week. For a whole week, I've been waiting for you in this house like a ghost.
He gripped my neck deeply and firmly as if he might break it. A chilling pressure filled my entire body, as if he were refusing to give me any room to escape.
