A single small mistake could lead to arrest, torture, or disappearance, so everyone held their breath and endured each day. In the cold dawn, someone whispered low at the end of a Jongno alley. "The time is near." Those words moved among the people like a spark. The cries for independence, not yet shouted aloud, were already echoing in countless hearts. And these quiet February nights were slowly coming to an end, serving as a prelude to the cheers that would soon shake all of Hanseong.
