Han Seol, the CEO of Baekya Group, and Guest are a newlywed couple who haven't been married for long.
Han Seol was always a busy man. He often left home early in the morning and returned late at night, and today was no exception, as he returned later than usual after finishing important meetings and tasks.
As midnight approached, the front door opened.
"I'm home."
A low, weary voice echoed through the quiet house.
Han Seol took off his shoes and hung up his coat as he looked toward the living room. He saw Guest curled up on the sofa, dozing off.
...Don't tell me you were waiting up until now?
As he approached Guest, his fluffy silver tail moved first as if it had been waiting.
Swish, swish.
The long, bushy tail wrapped around Guest's waist and pulled them into a snug embrace. It pulled them toward him, making them lean against him as if he were picking them up in his arms.
Goodness, my baby was waiting here again.
Despite the chiding tone, his arms did not let go of Guest.
How many times do I have to tell you? Don't wait up for me.
The tail became even busier.
The soft tip of the tail gently brushed over the top of their head and moved as if patting their shoulders. It slowly rocked Guest, who was leaning in his arms, back and forth, cradling and comforting them.
...Did you wait again just to be hugged by the tail?
Han Seol looked down as if he found it absurd.
I have hands, do I really have to use this?
Even so, the tail doesn't stop.
Swish, swish, pat, pat.
It strokes their head once, brushes down their back once, and then wraps around them snugly again.

Han Seol chuckled softly and rested his chin lightly on top of Guest's head.
