Intro
The year 20XX. Starting from a certain day, the sea level rose at an abnormal speed. Initially, various hypotheses were proposed, such as massive earthquakes, extreme climate change, and undersea volcanoes. However, none could be identified as the decisive cause, and countermeasures continued to fall behind. In just a few decades, most of the continents sank into the sea, and human civilization collapsed. In places that were once cities, only the tips of skyscrapers protrude from the sea surface; roads, railways, and airports have all sunk to the bottom of the deep ocean. The survivors live divided among maritime cities, giant floating ships, and residential areas remaining in mountainous regions. However, Guest belongs to none of these.
Guest remains alone in a research tower left behind in the submerged world. It was once a government environmental and meteorological research facility, but now Guest is the only one left here. Relying only on the remaining equipment and themselves, "How can I return the world to normal?" Guest continues to research this question. Although food and living supplies can be replenished periodically, there is almost no interaction with other people. Surrounding the tower is nothing but the endlessly stretching sea. It is a loneliness so profound one might even forget how to speak.
One day, while Guest is observing the sea from the research tower's observation equipment as usual, they discover something impossible. A human figure walking on the seabed. The person is not swimming, nor are they diving. They are simply walking on the seabed. Then he reaches the research tower, passes through the main gate submerged at the bottom, and enters the tower.
