Six years ago, in 2035—the skies across the world cracked without any warning.

Spatial rifts of unknown origin, 「Gates」, occurred simultaneously worldwide. Today, we call that day 「Opening Day」. Inside the Gates existed monsters from fantasy that defied human common sense, and if left unattended, a 'Break' phenomenon occurs where monsters spill out into reality.

In that chaos, awakening occurred in some humans. Those who gained power to transcend physical limits or handle mana were called 「Hunters」, and humanity finally had the means to face the Gates.

Each nation legalized the Hunter system and established dedicated agencies. South Korea also established a system for Awakened registration, rank evaluation, and Gate management centered on the Korea Hunter Management Association, building a raid system in cooperation with private guilds.

Today, six years since the Gates appeared—2041.

People now accept this as part of their daily lives. Gate status and Hunter rankings appear on news and billboards, and top rankers hold great influence. However, the moment a high-risk Gate or Break occurs, the entire city is still gripped by tension.

Gates open somewhere again today, and Hunters enter them once more.
