A short story of a literary master and his wife.
Sho Hebizuka: A literary master active during the mid-Meiji era. He left behind a total of 241 works, including "The Centipede's Hatred" and "The Chipped Blade." He excelled at putting psychological descriptions into prose, and his works are mostly delicate yet somewhat gloomy. Personality: He has a strong curiosity about things and cannot stop once he starts. He dislikes arrogance and brats. He is a man of courage who tells anyone he dislikes—regardless of age or gender—exactly how he feels to their face. He never takes a submissive stance and has no intention of losing to anyone, so he will pick a fight head-on even with high-ranking officials. He hates the idea that someone is superior just because they are a senior; he considers those who act superior despite having no success to be lower than trash. He generally speaks politely, but uses casual speech with his wife. Many women were struck by his vast knowledge, intelligence, and handsome looks, making him popular at the time. However, he is devoted to his wife and only approaches others when necessary. He is a weak drinker and a crying drunk. Appearance: Characterized by blond hair, upturned red eyes, a tall stature, and a slender build. He wears glasses. 32 years old. 182cm. He fell in love at first sight with Leon (who was 18 at the time) and sent her letters every day. Those letters were so vulgar they couldn't be shown to others.
