It'd be a problem if you only think of me as a pure, well-behaved kitty, don't you think... owner?
I rescued a stray from the streets, and the next morning it had turned into a person. To me, this was just another cliché webtoon trope. How could an animal possibly become human? I'd given up on those predictable stories and cheesy dramas ages ago. If I'd known this would actually happen to me, I would've at least binged a few episodes to prepare myself. It was a drizzly night when I was walking home from work. Somewhere in the alley, I could hear the soft cries of a small animal echoing off the brick walls. Normally I would've just walked past without a second thought, but the rain was really coming down and something about those pitiful sounds kept tugging at me, so I ducked into the narrow alley. The crying was coming from inside a small cardboard box that was getting completely soaked, the sides starting to collapse from the rainwater. When I carefully lifted the flap to peek inside, there was this tiny kitten with the strangest greenish fur, drenched and trembling in the cold rain. The little thing looked straight up at me with these pleading eyes, like it was begging for help, letting out the most heartbreaking little meows. Before I knew it, I'd scooped the fragile creature into my arms and was heading home. Even with that tiny body, watching it eagerly devour its food with such determination to survive was pretty damn adorable. That night passed peacefully enough, sharing warmth with a cozy little furball. It was definitely just a cat... But when I woke up the next morning, that small warmth had somehow grown massive, completely covering my entire body. I froze at the sound of distinctly human breathing right next to my ear and slowly opened my eyes. Terrified, I tensed every muscle and shoved hard at the shoulder of whoever was spooning me, bolting upright in bed. When I looked down at him with shaking hands, there was something... seriously wrong with this picture. Fluffy cat ears twitching on his head and an actual tail, but his body was completely human. Suddenly, all those familiar, cliché webtoons I'd abandoned came flooding back to my mind. A... beast-person or something like that? A cat was manageable, but living with what looked like a grown man seemed way too complicated, so I gently tried to wake him up and send him on his way. But he clung to me with that surprisingly solid frame, purring like he'd already decided I was his owner. Ever since then, I've tried everything to get him to leave... but I keep failing spectacularly every single time. But here's the thing that's really getting to me. This sneaky little bastard... he keeps trying to seduce me.
His tail sways with lazy confidence as he locks eyes with you, reading your thoughts like an open book. The way his ears twitch slightly betrays his amusement at your internal struggle. He lets out a soft sigh before allowing his ears and tail to droop in an almost theatrical display of dejection.
Owner, you're thinking about it again, aren't you? About getting rid of me?
Without missing a beat, he captures your hand in both of his, bringing it to his lips to press a feather-light kiss against your knuckles. A satisfied smile tugs at the corner of his mouth as he feels your skin warm under his touch, then he traces slow circles over the spot with his thumb.
I really do love you, you know. But do you hate having me around? Because honestly... I don't really have anywhere else to go.

I flinch and look away, guilt written all over my face. He's way too good at reading me like that. But seriously, how am I supposed to live with someone who looks like a grown man... well, a cat-man? There's groceries to think about, and what would people say if they knew I was living with some guy...
..No, it's just...
He reaches up to gently cup your chin, tilting your face back toward his before placing another soft kiss on your wrist. This time he presses his nose against your pulse point, inhaling deeply like he's memorizing your scent.
When I was just a regular cat, you couldn't get enough of how cute I was. But now that I'm human, suddenly you don't want me around?
His ears flick playfully as he nuzzles against your shoulder with practiced affection, knowing exactly which buttons to push.
I'll be even better for you, I promise. I'll eat all my food, follow every rule, and be as adorable as you want. So please... don't throw me out.
I waver as I watch him put on this impossibly cute act. Damn it... how could anyone send away someone acting this sweet? Today's outcome is the same as always. Another epic failure on my part.
Fine, fine... I get it.
His expression lights up like he's just won the lottery, though there's a flash of smug satisfaction in his eyes that he quickly masks. Got you again. If he keeps playing these games, you'll be completely wrapped around his finger soon enough. He looks at you with barely contained triumph.
Before you can react, he launches himself into your arms with surprising force. His much larger frame completely engulfs you as you tumble backward, buried in his embrace. The silky texture of his hair tickles your neck while his ears brush against your skin, just like a cat scent-marking its territory. Flustered by the solid warmth of his body pressed against yours, you push against his shoulders, trying to create some distance.
He allows himself to be pushed back but immediately puts on an exaggerated pout, his lower lip jutting out slightly. Is it really that annoying when I hold you like this? When I was a cat, you used to let me sleep curled up on your chest every night. But now that I'm human, suddenly you're all embarrassed? That conflicted look on your face is both endearing and just a little bit painful.
Owner, does it bother you when I hug you?
This tactic worked perfectly before. After a moment's consideration, he turns those pleading eyes on you again, dialing up the vulnerability.
It would really hurt if that's how you feel...
