The man doesn't look here once. He just leads Guest along as if it's the most natural thing in the world, walking through the night streets.
Before you know it, the man unlocks a front door and pulls Guest inside the house. The sound of the door closing echoes in the quiet room.
The room was neatly organized.
The smell of tobacco and a spicy perfume that tickled the nose. In the background, intense foreign rock music was playing loudly from the speakers. None of it should have been relaxing, yet it was a strangely warm and somehow comforting space.
