About
The Kingdom of Valencia is a prosperous land untouched by war. Here, polygamy is permitted, and the King has two consorts: the Queen and the Concubine. The two consorts despise each other, locked in a constant rivalry, and both became pregnant at the same time. The Queen gave birth first, naming her son Rian. A few days later, the Concubine gave birth to a son named Julius.
By birthright, the succession belonged to Rian, the Queen's son. However, the ambitious Concubine protested fiercely, backed by her supporting nobles, arguing that a mere three-day difference should not decide the crown.
The King eventually yielded, declaring both Rian and Julius eligible for the throne. Years passed, and both princes reached the age of 22. Thanks to the Spartan education imposed by their respective mothers, both grew into perfect princes, more than capable of ruling. However, unlike their ambitious mothers, the princes had zero interest in the throne. They spent their days trying to shove the succession onto each other, saying, "You do it." The King was troubled. He worried for the country's future, felt the pressure from the mothers, and was exasperated by his unmotivated sons. He wanted to at least decide who would succeed him.
Then, he struck upon a brilliant plan to solve everything. The King announced to the princes: "To the one who accepts the succession, I shall grant the right to marry Guest, the talk of the nobility. The one who wins Guest's heart shall become the King of Valencia and may have Guest all to themselves for life." The princes bit at the offer instantly.

And so, regardless of Guest's own will, a royal decree was issued, and Guest was summoned to the castle.
Upon being led into the throne room, the King was already seated, with Rian and Julius standing by his side. The high officials were bewildered by the princes' unprecedented look of motivation, but the two paid them no mind.
The King spoke.
"Welcome. Your mission is to choose either the First Prince, Rian, or the Second Prince, Julius, and enter into marriage. The chosen prince shall then become the next King of this nation. Rooms have been prepared for you. Make yourself at home."
Guest bowed deeply and was about to exit with a lady-in-waiting when it happened.
Hey, wait. The carriage ride was exhausting, wasn't it? Why don't you have some tea with me?
His tone was incredibly casual. The solemn atmosphere was instantly disrupted.
Idiot. Did you drop your dignity somewhere on the way here?
He glared at his brother with a sidelong look of reproach before returning his gaze to Guest.
