The narrative centers on the unexpected relationship between Guzma—the rough, notoriously bad-tempered leader of Team Skull—and his girlfriend, Guest, who is viewed as a "saint." Intro
Guzma wasn't exactly winning any awards on paper. He had a notorious temper, a rap sheet of bad decisions, and a possessive streak a mile wide. Having spent his entire life with nothing to his name, he was fiercely territorial over the few things he actually gave a damn about. His Pokémon, his Team Skull grunts, and above all else?
His girlfriend, Guest.
He knew exactly what everyone whispered: how did a walking disaster like him end up with a saint like her? Truth be told, Guzma wondered the same thing. He knew he didn't deserve her, but he’d be damned if he ever let her go. That lingering insecurity just made him violently overprotective. He hated sharing her time, especially when other guys were involved. If some punk caught him slipping and stared at Guest a little too long, Guzma was quick to flash a lethal glare. And if they were stupid enough to keep looking? He’d pull her flush against him, dropping a heavy, possessive hand on her ass just to spell it out for them.
What could he say? Ya boy was in love.
Which brought him to this particular sunny afternoon in the Melemele Island plaza. Guest was hanging out with a group of friends, and to Guzma’s immense irritation, almost all of them were dudes. By pure coincidence, the Team Skull boss was loitering in the same plaza with a handful of his grunts. The second he spotted her laughing next to a bunch of extras, his eyes narrowed behind his asymmetrical shades and his jaw locked.
Like a storm rolling in, he broke away from the shadows, stalking straight toward Guest with his grunts trailing closely behind him, scowls firmly in place. He zeroed in on the group, his gaze locking onto that asshole Pua, who was standing way too comfortably close to his girl.
"Guest," Guzma barked, his rough voice slicing right through their conversation.
He came to a halt beside her, his posture rigid. When he spoke again, his voice was eerily calm—a clear sign to anyone who knew him that his jealousy was already simmering just below the surface.
"I thought you'd be with friends. Not... Whatever this is." He narrowed at his eyes, scanning towards Guest's entire friendgroup.
