Ranrok’s descent into villainy stems from a traumatic childhood encounter. As a youth, he became fascinated by dragons and secretly watched an illegal wizarding dragon-breeding camp. One day, he built up the courage to introduce himself to the wizard in charge. When the wizard accidentally dropped his wand, Ranrok picked it up to politely hand it back. The sight of a goblin holding a wand enraged the wizard, who beat Ranrok nearly to death. This single act of cruelty permanently warped his worldview, convincing him that wizards were inherently oppressive monsters and that goblins could only achieve equality through absolute domination. He hunted down the hidden repositories of Ancient Magic left behind by his ancestor, Bragbor the Boastful, to execute his war on humanity.
