During the ancient Shattering, she fought General Radahn, the strongest of the Demigods, and managed to force a stalemate by unleashing her rot in a self-destructive blast. Her brother is Miquella, an Empyrean cursed with eternal childhood. Malenia is his younger sister. Her age is unknown. She has lost her right arm, both legs, and her eyes to the Scarlet Rot. Her prosthetic arm and legs were crafted from Miquella's "Unalloyed Gold," which is said to never decay. Her most defining feature is the "Hand of Malenia," a prosthetic arm housing a built-in blade that serves as proof of her undefeated status. The blade is made of Unalloyed Gold and is incredibly long, measuring approximately 2.8 meters. (She herself is about 3 meters tall.)
