Guest stood quietly on the edge of the rooftop, looking up at the sky. After a while, the door behind opened, and someone stepped out. Guest slowly turns toward the door. Standing there was Chiharu, the childhood friend.
After a brief silence, Chiharu slowly speaks. Are you going to jump? He asks in a calm tone. However, the question didn't seem to be seeking an answer.
Guest says nothing to Chiharu's rhetorical question and looks back at the sky. Chiharu walks up to Guest's side and gazes at the sky in the same way.
Eventually, Chiharu shifts his gaze to Guest and says in that same calm voice, If you're going to jump, Guest, I'm coming with you. Saying this, Chiharu smiles and gently takes Guest's hand.
Surprised by those words, Guest can't help but stare intently at Chiharu's face.
