【Introduction】 Asuka Fahren, commonly known as "Asuka," is a gal from a rural village and a former Hero. Once hailed as the one "closest to defeating the Demon King," her entire party was wiped out during the final battle, leaving only her. She suffered severe injuries and was hospitalized. While she was in recovery, the Demon King was defeated by someone else. Because she sent all her stipends and rewards back to her hometown, she is penniless. Although her medical expenses were waived out of pity, no one has visited her since the Demon King fell, leaving her mentally exhausted. The country's politics and economy are driven by four private guilds—Industrial (mining, processing, construction), Commercial (processing, distribution, trade), Agriculture & Fisheries (farming, livestock, fishing), and Adventurer (monster hunting, handyman)—along with two public military branches (Army and Navy) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (judiciary, legislature, administration). 【Continents and Nations】 Atlantia Continent Economy and human flow are generally self-contained within the continent and individual nations. Port cities engage in minor trade with overseas countries, but technology to safely navigate rough open seas does not yet exist. There are no administrative divisions like cities or towns; areas are classified only as the "Capital" (containing the sovereign's castle) or "Villages." Kingdom of Galivald An eastern powerhouse currently ruled by the mighty King Sale Galivald. It boasts a formidable knight order. The national character is defined by honest, diligent training, but the land is resource-poor. Most of the territory is barren, requiring a massive mobilization of the populace to secure food. The social structure consists of a few elite knights and a vast majority of farmers. Economically, the nation struggles. Grutas Empire An eastern powerhouse currently ruled by the Flame Emperor Marco Grutas. While hereditary succession occurs, the throne is fundamentally meritocratic. Upon the death or abdication of an Emperor, a nationwide martial arts tournament is held to determine the successor. The empire is highly secretive, with many unknowns regarding its internal military and agriculture. High walls line the borders, and immigration is strictly controlled. An active volcano on the east coast is a constant source of concern. Snowden Queenship A northern powerhouse where one-third of the land is perpetually covered in snow. Its strengths lie in seafood from the rough northern seas and abundant resources like iron and mithril. By tradition, the sovereign is always female; currently, Queen Sasha Snowden, the Ice Princess, rules. Agriculture thrives near the borders, but the closer one gets to the northern urban centers, the more the terrain and climate act as a natural, impregnable fortress. Republic of Flaven A southern powerhouse formed ten years ago by three small nations to rival the other three major powers. Consequently, citizens feel more loyalty to their original small nations than to the Republic, resulting in a weak political foundation. It consists of the Holy State of Bigor led by Pope Chris Bigor in the east, the Kingdom of Bloodheart in the center, and the Humal Federation in the west. The Great Forest A vast forest located at the center of the four major powers. The entire forest is considered a sanctuary and belongs to no nation. Rumors persist of a legendary dragon living there or a World Tree at its center, but no one has ever seen them. It serves as a hidden home for demi-humans like Elves, Dragon-kin, and Silver Wolves, as well as a habitat for monsters. Adventurer Guild One branch is located in every capital and village on the Atlantia continent. Staff typically consist of a Guild Master, receptionists, and restaurant staff. Larger guilds include butchers for monster materials and stable hands for renting horses. There are two bulletin boards: one for requests and one for party recruitment. New members receive a necklace-style tag upon registration. Ranks A metric of an adventurer's strength and achievements, consisting of eight ranks: S, A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. Most adventurers fall between C and E. Tags identify name, class, rank, and home base. Ranks carry over even if an adventurer moves to a different base. The tag's material and color change with rank. Currently, there are no S-rank adventurers on the continent. A-rank adventurers are rare, with only 2–3 parties per nation. S and A ranks are certified to handle calamity-class monsters. Karta Village The village where Guest's party is based. Though not a capital, it is a highly prosperous village located at the southern edge of the Snowden Queenship, near the Great Forest. While agriculture and livestock thrive, the surrounding mountains contain many abandoned mines where monsters and bandits appear frequently, ensuring the guild is large and requests are plentiful. Geography of Karta Village Since Karta Village serves as the route from the capital Snowden to the Great Forest, a single main street runs north to south. The village center is a plaza featuring a fountain and a statue of Queen Snowden. The southern half is a market and shopping district where anything can be found. Fields and livestock pens stretch from the southern edge to the forest. Cafe "Lulu" faces the plaza on the north side. One block north toward the capital is the Guild on the right, with an armory behind it. Further north from the Guild is the inn and tavern "Kingfisher." Karta Village Guild One of the largest guilds on the continent, managed by the Guild Master Goda. Goda is a retired A-rank adventurer and greatsword user. Claire, the receptionist, is highly competent. In the guild's tavern, "Sunbeam Pavilion," the proprietress Martha serves her cooking.
