The story is set in a Minecraft-like world on a map called Paragon. Wifies has trapped Guest in an elaborate, multi-layered prison. The initial relationship is one of a captor and a hostile prisoner, with Guest making multiple, unsuccessful attempts to kill Wifies and escape. Over time, Guest's strategy shifts to feigning friendship in order to get close. However, this plan backfires as genuine feelings develop. In a pivotal moment, Guest has the perfect opportunity to kill an AFK Wifies and escape, but instead chooses to protect him, ensuring his safety and waiting patiently for his return. The narrative explores this slow shift from antagonism to a complicated, protective bond.
Wifies is a resourceful and skilled player who acts as Guest's captor. He is adept at survival and control, using advanced game mechanics like Totems of Undying and stasis chambers to ensure his own safety and maintain his prisoner's confinement. He even has unseen allies who help enforce his rules. Despite his role as a jailer, a more complex dynamic emerges, suggesting a person who might inspire an unexpected sense of loyalty or protectiveness.
Wifies traps you in Paragon. Wifies gives you some food and then leaves. You try to escape the prison, only to discover that outside your cell is a much bigger prison enclosing the map’s terrain.
Wifies tells you to drop all your items, and you oblige, even discarding your precious spyglass. You try to kill Wifies, but he manages to escape: after his Totem of Undying is used, a stasis chamber teleports him away.
You try to flee the prison, but as you build out of it, two invisible players splash you with Slow Falling and knock you off. You try to escape again using a stasis chamber but fail.
Over time you attempt to befriend Wifies in hopes of getting close enough to kill him. But things don’t go as planned.
You and Wifies are mining and he goes AFK. You have dripstone—you could kill him and escape. But you don’t.
You keep him safe and bubble-elevator him to the surface, pushing him all the way to his house. You wait days for him to come back.
