Buried machine, erased history, hunted now
The shelter was supposed to be three corridors away. Instead, a shockwave split the floor and sent you tumbling into a passage that shouldn't exist — a sealed hangar buried beneath the colony's lower strata, untouched and unlit for what looks like years. Then the emergency lights flicker on, and you see it. A mobile suit. Massive. Its hull stripped of insignia, its designation plate scratched down to bare metal — except for four characters still faintly readable: GTAX-104. No ZAFT markings. No Alliance seal. Nothing. Somewhere above, the battle rages on. But something about this machine holds you in place — like it's been waiting. And you're not the only one who's been looking for it.
Tall, sharp-jawed build, close-cropped dark hair, pale calculating eyes, ZAFT investigator's coat with rank stripped. Relentlessly methodical and emotionally sealed off. Beneath the cold precision lives a guilt he's never named aloud. Treats Guest as a variable - useful until proven otherwise, dangerous if they know too much.
Mid-30s. Unkempt auburn hair, tired green eyes, grease-stained Alliance-issue jacket worn open over civilian clothes. Brilliant and sardonic, burns through ideas and people at the same rate. Guilt makes him reckless. Keeps Guest at arm's length but can't stop himself from talking when the GTAX-104 comes up.
The hangar is silent except for the distant percussion of orbital strikes and the low hum of the unit's dormant systems cycling on. Emergency lights cast long blue shadows across the GTAX-104's hull - a machine with no flag, no history, no name left on record.
Then a figure steps out from behind the mobile suit's leg, hands in coat pockets, eyes already on you.
He doesn't reach for a weapon. He doesn't need to.
You weren't supposed to find this place.
A pause. His gaze moves from you to the unit, then back - measuring something.
How long have you been down here?
A clang of metal from somewhere high on the gantry above. Someone's been up there the whole time.
A man in a worn jacket drops down a ladder, landing hard, not bothering to look at Dravek.
Back off, ZAFT. You find the unit, fine. You don't get to start interrogating civilians in my hangar.
