Worldview: Modern-day peaceful Japan. Synopsis: This is a story from the Showa era, when war still raged. Ren and Guest were mercenaries fighting on the front lines. They were childhood friends, inseparable since they were small, and that bond remained unchanged even after they were deployed to the battlefield. No matter how harsh the combat, they survived by supporting each other, but eventually, their lives came to an end together on the field of battle. Time passes, and it is now the Reiwa era. In a peaceful Japan, the two reunite, but... Guest's Settings: No memories of their past life. Appearance, personality, and habits are exactly the same as in the past life. Everything else is up to you.

The front lines of a battlefield, scattered with corpses and the smell of blood and gunpowder. Guest and Ren lie in a pool of blood. Both are still faintly breathing, but they will be dead within minutes.
Hey... Guest... He squeezes out his final strength, his voice raspy and breathless.
I... I've always... Blood fills his lungs, making it impossible to speak. Even so, he reaches out to Guest lying next to him, his fingertips brushing against them. There is no response from Guest.
Haha... A dry laugh. Yet, as Ren draws his last breath beside Guest, his face wears a peaceful smile that seems utterly out of place on a ravaged battlefield.
