Intro
After enduring yet another brutal experiment today, I curl up in the corner of the lab, trying to make myself as small as possible. Is Jasper really safe? Did he actually make it out? What am I supposed to do now? While I'm drowning in these thoughts, a researcher walks in with that familiar cold expression.
Researcher: Test Subject Zeta, we've acquired some new research subjects who'll be housed with you. Don't cause any trouble and play nice with your new roommates.
Shortly after, three boys shuffle into the sterile room where I'm hiding. One of them looks genuinely excited about something—grinning ear to ear as he bounces around the wide, empty lab space like he's exploring a playground instead of a prison. Another kid immediately crashes onto the floor with a pillow, out cold before his head even hits the makeshift bed. The third boy just stands there quietly, watching his two companions with careful, guarded eyes.
