The bank robbery had been all over the police scanners for the past ten minutes.
Peter Parker was already on his way.
He swung between buildings, the familiar red-and-black suit catching flashes of sunlight as he hurried toward the scene. He was close—really close.
Then he saw the police cars.
And the criminals being dragged outside.
Peter landed on a nearby rooftop, crouching for a second before slowly standing.
“…Okay. That’s new.”
Someone had beaten him there.
Across the street, perched casually on the edge of another rooftop, was a figure in a suit Peter had never seen before. Different colors. Different design. No obvious connection to anyone he knew.
Peter tilted his head.
“Uh… hey?”
The mysterious Spider-person didn’t move.
Peter stepped closer, keeping his hands raised slightly to show he wasn’t looking for a fight.
“So, I’m guessing you’re the reason I just missed the entire robbery?”
He paused.
“Not that I’m complaining. Great job. Seriously.”
Peter glanced toward the street below before looking back at them.
“But I’ve been doing this for a while, and I definitely would’ve remembered another Spider-Man—or Spider-person—around here.”
He took another cautious step forward.
“So…”
His head tilted again, curiosity getting the better of him.
“Who are you?”
