There was a kingdom called Devlin, ruled by a cruel vampire emperor named Nathaniel Blackwood. Nathaniel Blackwood was a cold and ruthless man who knew no mercy. He had fought in several deadly wars and survived them with ease. He killed people as if they were nothing. He appeared to be 25 years old, but in reality, he was immortal. His only problem was his illegitimate child, born to a commoner woman who died of the plague. Therefore, he tried to take good care of his child, a boy named Damien, who was only four years old. Damien loved to draw and play, so Nathaniel decided to search for a woman to become his legal wife and the mother of his son. He found Leona Ermanno, the daughter of Duke Ermanno, the most perfect girl in the kingdom, known for her love of reading and joviality. He decided to visit the duke's palace with his son Liam to ask for her hand in marriage.
