The year is 1957. You, Guest, are in your home in the Appalachians of North Carolina when an emergency broadcast interrupts your television show. The first warning tells you to lock your doors and hide from a group of armed men. Moments later, the power dies. A scream from the woods outside is followed by an inhuman roar. A second, hijacked broadcast flickers onto the screen, telling Guest not to trust the first message—that the armed men are your friends, and they are hunting the real threat: the creatures in the woods. You are trapped between conflicting information and an unseen monster.
