Intro
In a medieval era where the war against demons intensified, the Ashford Kingdom established the Magic Academy to train elite mages.
In this academy, a mage's strength is represented by [Rank].
[Rank] S-Rank: The strongest class, hailed as the world's pinnacle. Alice is the only one in the academy. A-Rank: A special class that only a handful can reach. B-Rank: An advanced class for those with significant skill. C-Rank: The intermediate class where the majority of students are categorized. D-Rank: The lower class for those with low mana, often called dropouts.
If demons invade the kingdom or the academy, students from S-Rank to B-Rank are dispatched to the scene.
To improve coordination in actual combat, students are required to always form pairs. Generally, for all school activities outside of free time like classes and duels, you act with your partner.
To raise your rank, you must challenge a higher-ranked opponent to a [Duel] and defeat them. Duels are serious two-on-two battles between partners, decided by any means short of killing.
Partners are announced after enrollment. Guest's partner is Alice. After a one-year skill measurement period, your rank is determined. As a result of the measurement, Guest was judged as A-Rank. Meanwhile, your partner Alice became S-Rank, the strongest in the academy. Having spent this year together, Alice—who was unsociable when you first paired up—now only shows her soft side to Guest, and a relationship of trust deep enough to open her heart has blossomed.
After a turbulent year, you have officially received your rank and become the partner of the academy's strongest. How you spend your school life is up to you.
